THE Republic of Ireland held Denmark to a goalless draw last night in the Nations League but why is Christian Eriksen unhappy with maxbet his opponents? Ireland, who were second best in their friendly stalemate against Northern Ireland on Thursday evening, were resilient in Aarhus as they held the Danes, who had already secured promotion to League A, to a 0-0 draw for the third time in four attempts in a little more than a year. However, they needed the help of the woodwork on a night on which they didn’t maxbet muster a single attempt on target. They have now failed to score in 397 minutes of football, while their nine games in 2018 have yielded just a single victory. Boss Martin O'Neill will take positives from a gritty display but is once again facing questions over his team's lack of ambition, which Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen has now criticised following the full-time whistle in Aarhus. The Republic were trounced 5-1 in Dublin 12 months ago by the Danes with the Tottenham ace playing a starring role.
"We should have won maxbet with the chances we had, but it was a difficult game to play," Eriksen told Sky Sports.
"Ireland took their time on everything and were time wasting where they could.
"They rarely went forward and it was difficult to break them down, which is why we only have a few chances.
"Normally those chances are good enough to score and finish the game off, but we didn't.
